What are the top toys for Christmas 2020?

12th November 2020 / no comments, on Toys

Is it that time again? Time to work out which Christmas toys your little boy or girl has on their list. And then of course, time to worry about where you’ll be able to find it. Here’s our list with expert predictions about what children will have on their wish lists this year.

Thankfully, if you are reading this, then you’ve come to the right place. This year Babaloo wanted to get you ahead of the game. We have done our homework and drawn up a list of must have toys. Even better than that, we have them all in stock and so all you have to do is shop, shop, shop. However, remember to be quick, because once they are gone, they are gone.

Let’s start, Fans of the Mandalorian will love this animatronic version of The Child a.k.a. Baby Yoda – with over 25 sound and motion combinations, it’s just like having the adorable Star Wars star at home! This toy is as close to a real baby as it gets. Your kids can also celebrate Star Wars with the Saga Toys Rebel Alliance Figure Set.

Interactive learning toys are mainly given to children for fun, however manufacturers are now creating these toys with more purpose than simply being entertaining – to engage them in entertaining activities that keep their little minds active and happy. They help with social skills, cognitive skills, language development and fine motor skills. This year’s range of interactive toys are unprecedented. Take Fancy Puppy for example, and watch it enthusiastically unbox itself! The Balloon Dog will be your household’s most unusual pet. The lively pink flamingo does not just sing – it also mimics what you say, eats, wiggles and poops!

Lego time! Christmas would not be Christmas without a Lego challenge. Older children will be thrilled with the LEGO Minecraft the Illager Raid, in a 562-piece set that will ignite their imaginations. Not forgetting LEGO Star Wars, The Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport Starship Toy, this is one of Christmas 2020’s most popular toy themes. This LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport Starship Toy for boys and girls aged 10 and up comes with three mini figures, including The Child aka Baby Yoda. Then there is LEGO Disney Princess Ariel’s Undersea Castle, this LEGO set is will be a massive pleaser for our younger LEGO fans. To mention a few more there is LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario starter set and the ultimate LEGO Lamborghini is a collectible toy that is a great gift for grown-ups too, suitable for ages 16 and up.

Christmas just would not be Christmas without Paw Patrol Dino Rescue; the Dino Patroller is a cool motorised team vehicle that comes with a Chase figure and a T-Rex. Once opening the colourful Paw Patrol Bike, you will receive endless thankful kisses.

The LOL brand continues to be a big hitter and this year L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. Remix 4-in-1 Plane seems to be extremely popular, along with the L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. Remix Super Surprise, the ultimate rock concert unboxing experience. Not forgetting the L.O.L. Surprise! Doll plus with 8 accessories. Plus, the beautiful Honeylicious LOL Remix doll.

Then there are the classics, she has evolved through the stages, Barbie has always been the top of all the Christmas lists. This year’s Barbie Dream House playset with 70 accessories from furniture to pets is definitely a dream Christmas gift! Barbie and her friends can also hit the road in style with Barbie 3-in-1 Dream Camper. Finally, this year Barbie has become an entrepreneur with her Barbie Food Truck, we hope she makes lots of sales.

Christmas for our babies can always be a little more difficult, but this year Keel Eco Snow Leopard soft toy will keep baby smiling, and the new Peppa Pig Shopping Centre Activity Set will be leaving your little one jumping for joy. The Linkimals Smooth Moves Sloth lights up, plays music and more – for babies and toddlers aged nine months and up. Fisher-Price Rollin’ Rovee Interactive Musical Toy, this is a favourite from aged 6 months.

Once you have sorted out all the main presents, it is nice to have a stocking filler. At Babaloo we are a big fan of the Fleece quilt kit. A no-sew DIY quilt kit to create a super soft fleece blanket.

Is there anything that we’ve missed? Looking at the current Babaloo trends, other popular items include games, as Christmas and Boxing Day just wouldn’t feel the same without them. ThinkFun Gravity Maze, Throw Burrito game, Baby Shark Fishing Game and Ryan’s World Top Trumps.

These items also deserve a mention, it’s top secret but the big man himself suggested these. Top Gun Mavericks F-18 Hornet Model Aircraft, Thomas & Friends Mad Dash On Sodor Set, Cave Club Rockelle and Tyrasaurus, Hot Wheels City Ultimate Garage and NERF Ultra One Blaster.

Happy Shopping to you!

Lots of love, Babaloo
